1. Who we are

Skip the Pitch is a local-first desktop application that helps agencies and freelancers find local businesses, review their web presence, build showcase websites, and track deals. Companion account services sync prospecting data and host only the showcase sites a user chooses to publish. It is operated by Unity Bridge Solutions Ltd (trading as “Skip the Pitch”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17080819, with its registered office at 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom.

For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Unity Bridge Solutions Ltd is the controller of the personal data described in this policy, except where the section “Your customers’ data” says otherwise. You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@skipthepitch.app.

3. Information we collect

Account and sign-in information

When you create an account we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier through our authentication provider, Clerk. You can sign in with Google, with Apple, or with your email address. We never see or store your passwords.

Google user data

If you choose to sign in with Google, we request only the basic OpenID Connect scopes (openid, email, and profile). Through them we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique Google account identifier. We do not request, and cannot access, your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google content.

We use this information solely to create your account, sign you in securely, and show you which account you are signed in to. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed in section 6, strictly as needed to operate sign-in.

Skip the Pitch’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke Skip the Pitch’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page.

Apple sign-in

If you sign in with Apple, we receive your name (as you choose to share it), your email address or Apple’s private relay address, and a unique identifier. We use it exactly as described for Google above.

Content you create in the app

The product exists to manage your prospecting work, so the app stores and syncs your prospect and lead records (business names, addresses, websites, contact details, and notes you add), website checks and site analyses, deal and pipeline information, and build-history records. The generated files for a showcase website remain on the Mac that built them unless you explicitly publish the site. When you publish, that site bundle is uploaded to our hosting infrastructure and becomes publicly accessible at its preview address until you or we remove it.

Technical information

Our servers keep short-lived operational logs (such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and error diagnostics) for security and troubleshooting. Our website uses no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies, only the strictly necessary cookies our authentication provider sets to keep you signed in.

Payment information

Skip the Pitch is a paid service. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. When you subscribe you enter your card details directly with Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number. From Stripe we receive only limited billing information, such as your plan, subscription status, the last four digits and brand of your card, and your billing country, which we use to give you access, manage your subscription, and handle invoices and refunds. Stripe processes your card data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

4. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

We do not use your personal data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it to anyone.

5. Your customers’ data

The prospect records you collect and store in Skip the Pitch are your data: for that content, you are the controller and we act as your processor: we store and process it only to provide the service to you and never use it for our own purposes. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use prospect information and for complying with the laws that apply to your outreach (see our Terms of Service).

6. Who we share information with

We share personal data only with the service providers that run the product:

Each provider processes data on our documented instructions under a data processing agreement. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

7. International transfers

Our service providers store data in data centres that may be outside the UK, including in the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards recognised by UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, UK adequacy regulations, or the ICO’s International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long we keep information

9. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Sign-in tokens on your device are stored in your operating system’s keychain rather than in files. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data we will notify you and the ICO where the law requires it.

10. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@skipthepitch.app. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

11. Children

Skip the Pitch is a business tool for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, including how we use Google user data, we will update this policy, change the date at the top, and, for material changes, notify you and ask for your consent where the law requires it before the new practices apply.
